February - Marriage
God gave marriage as a gift to Adam and Eve. They were created perfectly for each other. Marriage was instituted by God and has three basic aspects:

1. The man leaves his parents, and in a public act, promises himself to his wife.

2. The man and the women are joined together by taking responsibility for each other’s welfare and by loving their mate over all others.

3. The two become one flesh in the intimacy and commitment of sexual union that is reserved for marriage. Throughout the Bible, God treats this special partnership seriously.

"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.”     Genesis 2:24

March - Holy Week
Holy Week is the last week of Lent, the week preceding Easter Sunday. It is observed in many Christian churches as a time to commemorate and enact the suffering and death of Jesus through various observances and worship services. We often focus on the joyful celebrations of Palm Sunday and the hope of the Resurrection on Easter.  It is important to remember that suffering, humiliation, and death are also a part of Holy Week. Only by walking through the darkness of Good Friday and the despair on Holy Saturday, can we truly understand and appreciate the light and hope of Easter Sunday morning.

Palm Sunday – is the Sunday before Easter and is when Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey in preparation for the Passover Feast.  People waved palm branches and laid their coats on the ground to show respect to the “King”. – John 11:55-58; 12:12-16

Maundy Thursday is the Thursday before Easter.  It is also called “Holy Thursday”. On this day we commemorate the washing of the disciple’s feet by Jesus Christ, the Last Supper, the agony of Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane, and the betrayal of Christ by Judas. – John 13

Good Friday – is the Friday before Easter or Pascha.  This is the day we commemorate the crucifixion and death of Jesus at Calvary. – John 18-20

Easter Sunday or Resurrection Day, is the most important day observed by Christians, as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on the third day after his death. – John 20:1-18
