Backpack Ministry – Are back-to school ads tempting you with the chance to grab some great deals? If so, the Backpack Ministry will begin collecting new large backpacks and school supplies for distribution to families who may not be able to afford them. Items collected include: crayons (24 count), #2 pencils, glue sticks, pens (blue, red and black), colored markers and pencils, pencil cases, scissors, spiral notebooks, pocket folders and 3-ring binders. Supplies may be brought to the church beginning Sunday, July 23rd. Drop them off by the Great Caterpillar on the wall.
Sunshine Meals – Within a 30 day time span, Redeemer will welcome three new babies to our church family! One way we welcome them is to provide 6-8 hot meals for families as they adjust to their newest member. We call this ministry, “Sunshine Meals”. In the next week or so, an eNews will be sent out inviting you to be part of this welcoming ministry. It easy to provide a meal – just simply click on the link in the email, pick a date that works for you and follow the instructions on delivery time, address & family details. If you do not receive eNews from the church, simply contact Debby in the church office.
Did you know that one of Pastor Tim’s passions is writing? – He has published two books that you might be interested in picking up. The first one, Now What? ($7.99), is a conversation about the next steps in your faith life. The second one, Faith, Hope & Love of Music ($9.99) is a 40-day devotional composed of modern mediations on historic hymns of faith. Be sure to stop into the Pages & Prayers Bookstore to take a look at these great books!
TEXT-TO-GIVE – We are excited to announce the launch of text-to-give at Redeemer Church. We want to let our church family choose how they contribute without barriers or having to jump through hoops. Signing up for text-to-give is easy and secure. With a simple text of the dollar amount to 517-731-0518 you will automatically be sent a link to register. Once that short process is completed you will receive a text verifying your donation. Subsequently, all you have to do is text an amount to our number and you are done! This new secure way of giving was offered to us at no additional cost by our current EFT vendor. We are excited to stay up-to-date with today’s technology!
Membership Orientation – If you are interested in finding out more about becoming a member of Redeemer Church, we invite you to attend our Membership Orientation Class. The two week class will take place in Spring 2017 – watch the worship folder for specific dates. It is a great time to get acquainted with other newcomers, explore the meaning of membership in our church, and for us to share with you our vision and core values. Everyone is welcome and there is no obligation to join the church.
ParentLink Newsletter – The ParentLink (Pre-K – 6th grade) newsletter for this month has been added to the website. To check it out, visit the Christian Education / Kids section and click Newsletter.
PIZZA with the Pastor – If you are newer to Redeemer we would like to have you join us at Pizza with the Pastor. This is a time for you and your family to meet with Pastor Rod, staff, and others who are new to Redeemer Church and join in casual conversation. The next Pizza with the Pastor will be scheduled in the Spring – please watch the worship folder for specific dates. For questions email Kim at email@example.com.
Monthly Scripture Readings – In addition to the paper copy found inside the worship folder each month, you can go on-line to the Redeemer website. Click on any daily reading and an NLT version will appear.
Book Club – The Inspired Readers Book Club for adults meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7pm. Click here for more information. We hope you can come and join us!
Offering Envelopes – Many members of our church family feel that having preprinted offering envelopes are a convenient way to give their weekly/monthly tithes and offerings. Once a month these envelopes are sent out for the upcoming month and include the envelopes for each Sunday of the month. If you do not receive this monthly mailing of envelopes and would like to, please contact Diane in the church office at 669-3430 ext. 114 or firstname.lastname@example.org and we will include you in the mailing as soon as possible!
Nursery Volunteer Schedule – Click here to sign up. Even if you don’t use the nursery now, you may have children in other ministry areas. Their teachers and Kingdom Quest shepherds who do have nursery-age kids depend on care being available each week. Please sign up and make it possible for them to serve. Thank you!
