STORIES FROM OUR CHURCH FAMILY
I was in the check out line at the grocery story and a lady and her daughter were in front of me paying for their groceries using foodstamps. For whatever reason the cashier wouldn't except the food stamps for a certain item, so they had to give it back. I asked the cashier to put the item on my bill so the could have their food. They were so gracious over a small container of yogurt. It really filled me up for the day to be able to help a total stranger at a time of need. Thank you God for giving me an opportunity to show love.
I try to shop for groceries every Wednesday or Thursday morning. Usually, I can find the same cashier on duty. After several months, we are on a first name basis and we share information about our families. I'm planning to invite her and her family to worship at Redeemer.
