Kingdom Quest (KQ) is our Children's Ministry program for 1st through 5th graders. It is offered from 9:30-10:30 and 11:00-12:00 on Sunday mornings from September through May. Kingdom Quest is based on the workshop rotation model which recognizes that children learn in different ways ~ visually, verbally, physically, musically, artistically, and others. Therefore, teaching through a variety of interactive, "hands-on" methods is key to learning and retention, not to mention it's fun for everyone! Throughout the year, we focus on a different Bible story during each monthly KQ rotation. We're in our sixth year of Kingdom Quest, and we're pleased to see the spiritual growth and transformation of both the children and adults involved.
How Kingdom Quest Works:
Upon enrolling in Kingdom Quest, children are placed into small groups based on age:
9:30 11:301st - 2nd graders Hunters Carpenters Weavers Potters Tent Makers

Prophets
Each Sunday morning, all of the groups participate in an opening program of music, Bible verse memory, and mission information. Afterwards, 'shepherds' lead their groups to a specific workshop, where the workshop leader teaches the lesson and the children participate in a related activity.

Bible Connection
Developed specifically for our 3rd through 5th graders, Bible Connection provides an opportunity to review old and learn new Bible skills. Through fun games and activities, KQ kids practice looking up verses and becoming familiar with the 66 books of the Bible.
Gospel Games
Playing games like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune tests
the kids' understanding of biblical facts and concepts
in a fun, active way in this workshop.
JesusSaves.com
No, computers weren't used in teaching at the temple in Jesus' day, but what a great tool they are today! Through animated story and activity programs, the Bible comes alive for kids in a whole new way.
Kingdom Theatre
Through costumes and props, KQ kids have the opportunity to act out the stories of the Bible and 'be' the people involved. Puppetry and videotaping are also used from time to time.
Taste of Heaven
Food and kids are always a winning combination and cooking in a new kitchen is a big hit with all ages. Rainbow tortillas, 'prayer' cookies, and Fruits of the Spirit salad are just a few of their creations!
Temple Tales
Storytellers bring the events of the Old Testament to
life as they tell about what it would have been
like to live in biblical times.
Thou Art
Using a variety of mediums, KQ kids create special projects to enhance their understanding of the story or to share with others outside of our church family.
Reel to Real
KQ kids watch videos and discuss how the stories and characters are portrayed - and just like in theatre, there's popcorn to go with the movie!
