Help Feed Those in Need
Redeemer is responsible for providing the 5:00pm-sack meal on the third Sunday of each month to the Advent House Weekend Day Shelter. The Weekend Day Shelter serves an average of 100 persons each weekend day throughout the year, providing meals and comfortable surroundings. Each month a group of six to eight people from Redeemer takes responsibility for meal planning, food purchases, food preparations, and delivering the meal.

“Advent House Ministries is an ecumenical, faith based community organization which works to improve life for those in the Lansing area with a special focus on the economically disadvantaged-particularly, those who are homeless.” The ministry at Advent House takes people full circle:from addressing basic material needs to providing training in marketable skills, thereby promoting self-sufficiency.
